| RUGER P-SERIES
Exceptional Reliability,
Reasonable Cost
|
 |
The Ruger P-Series models bring you sophisticated,
high quality modern design in autoloading pistols at afford-able
prices. Whether you are seeking a defensive pistol or in highly
functional firearm for action-shooting sports, one of the P-Series
models should be your choice.
Only the finest materials are used in the P-Series:
hard coated A356T6 aluminum alloy, 400-series stainles-steel,
our own proprietary Terhune Anticorro stainless-steel (or chrome-moly
in blued models), and the nearly indestructible 6123 Xenoy resin
grip panels. Without the use of special tools, all P- Series pistols
easily field strip into five major subassemblies for cleaning
and maintenance.
Ruger offers several ambidextrous variations on the
proven P-Series double action design. The third generation P89
models extend the popular 9mm caliber line, while the P90 model
broadens the choice of calibers with the .45 ACP Further extending
the selection are the 9mm P93 and P94 models in 9mm and .40 Auto.
The 9mm P89 Manual Safety model comes in blued finish
or stainless-steel, and represents the latest advances in
Ruger design. Those who prefer 9mm decock-only or
double-action-only pistols can choose from the P89DAO (Double-Action-Only)
or the P89DC (Decock-Only). Decock-Only models are available in
blued or stainless, and Double-Action-Only
|
models are available in stainless only All N9 models are ambidextrous and have a ten-shot
magazine capacity
Big-bore fans will find their needs met by the seven-shot
ambidextrous .45 ACP P90 Manual Safety and Decock-Only models,
both in stainless-steel. Rugged and functional, the P90 models
add to the popularity of the time-and-field-proven .45 ACP caliber.
The superior design and unexcelled ruggedness of
the Ruger P-Series pistols are available in two streamlined
versions: the 9mm P93 and the P94 in 9mm and .40
Auto. The P94 is midway in size between the full-size
P-Series and the down-sized P93 models.
The Ruger P93 is offered in two stainless-steel models:
Decock-Only and Double-Action-Only The Ruger P94 is available
in six models: Choose from three configurations: Double-Action-Only,
Decock-Only, and Manual Safety; and two calibers: 9mm and .40
Auto.
All Ruger P-Series models easily handle any commercially
produced ammunition of the correct caliber for the pistol. The
large ejection port on the slide offers an advantage in loading
cartridges one at a time, and any malfunction can be cleared by
hand quickly and easily All P-Series pistols come with a molded,
high-impact, lockable case; brass lock with keys; spare magazine;
magazine loading tool; and illustrated operation manual.

| Manual Safety Model |
 |
These models incorporate manual ambidextrous safety
levers that, when engaged, push the firing pin forward into the
slide, out of reach of the hammer. At the same time, the firing
pin is locked firmly in position, preventing forward movement;
only then is the hammer decocked. The gun cannot be fired without
moving the safety lever back to the "fire" position
and pulling the trigger. |
 |
| Decock-Only Model (No Manual Safety) |
 |
In Decock-Only models, the hammer is decocked by
depressing either of the ambidextrous decocking levers. When released,
the levers spring back to the "fire" position. After
decocking, the gun can be fired by a double-action pull of the
trigger without further manipulation of the decocking lever.
|
 |
| Double-Action-Only Model |
 |
Double-Action-Only models have no external safety,
full-cock hammer position, or decocking lever. Similar in operation
to a double-action revolver, the firing pin is blocked from forward
movement by an internal safety until the trigger is completely
pulled. Operation is "double action only" for each shot.
All DAO models come with a spurless hammer.
