Tennessee Carry Permit Training Organizations
The State of Tennessee requires applicants to complete a certified course of instruction in handgun safety. This
entails 4 hours of classroom training and 4 hours of range training. The following companies provide instruction
in small well run classes.

State Concealed Carry Course is taught at Chattanooga Rifle Club, located on Hunter Road. The Course is per Tennessee guidelines and meets requirements for
Tennessee Handgun Permit. The course is conducted on a Saturday starting at 8:30 and concluding at 5:30. Cost is $75.00, this includes handout materials. Both
instructors are State, Federal, and NRA Certified. Ronnie has over 24 years law enforcement and Greg is a Master pistol smith. Both are accomplished pistol
shooters.

Law enforcement instructors teach all classes and All staff instructors are certified.
These classes provide the general public the opportunity to receive high quality firearms training.
Classes emphasize civilian self-defense situations, the State of Tennessee Concealed Carry Requirements.
Reservations are required for all classes.

DIRECTIONS:
Exit 356 off of I-40, one mile north on 58 toward Oak Ridge. Look for Indoor Pistol Range sign on the right.
All indoor, one day class. Starting time is 10am and the day is a selected Saturday. A reservation is required. The fee is $50. We will loan Smith and Wesson revolvers to those who have not yet made a decision about a purchase. Successful trainees leave with their certificate for the DMV.
The Instructor is Ron Venn, a certified Training Counselor in 8 NRA disciplines and is a law enforcement pistol and shotgun instructor. He is certified by the Department of Commerce and Insurance to train private protective services personnel in armed, unarmed, aerosol restraint, stun gun and baton. Department of Safety Handgun certifies him to instruct the Carry Permit Safety Class. Down Range is an NRA member, numbered law enforcement shooting facility.

STATE CONCEALED CARRY COURSE
This course deals with the basic knowledge, skills,
and attitude necessary for the safe and proper use
of a handgun, and provides information on the
citizen's right of self-defense. The course will be
taught by the guidelines provided by the Tennessee
Department of Safety.
Length of course: Minimum 10-12 hours

STATE CONCEALED CARRY COURSE
This course is a minimum of eight (8) hours and meets the requirement for applying for a Tennessee
Handgun Carry Permit through the Department of Safety. The course consists of at least four hours
of classroom instruction, and at least four hours on the shooting range. This class is taught twice
per month with a cost of $65.00 dollars. (A discount for couples or groups of five or more.)
NRA and Other CLASSES Available:NRA First Step Pistol Classes, Basic Pistol, Home Firearm Safety, Personal Protection, Basic Rifle and Shotgun . Defensive handgun course.(Call for

GUNS AND STUFF, INC. is a full line firearms store with shooting range and gunsmithing available on site. Ammo, accessories, reloading, black powder, archery, etc. are available. Handgun Carry Permit classes are normally held on a monthly basis. However, special classes, for groups larger than ten members, can be scheduled. Classes are $75.00 in advance with registrants receiving free range practice time and a 10% discount on merchandise purchases, until successfully completing course. Three State Certified Instructors are available, two male and one female. Individual instruction/tutoring is available.
